Chef Adeneke
West Indian Blend owner Adeneke Defreitas is a New York native whose West Indian roots strongly influence her culinary creations. Her passion for food began in the kitchen with her mother, where she learned the nuances of traditional West Indian cooking, and today she enjoys crafting elevated dishes inspired by those early experiences.
Chef Adeneke received formal culinary training at the Baltimore Culinary Institute. She began her career as a sous chef and worked her way up to head chef, gaining exposure to a wide variety of cuisines from around the world along the way.
Over the years, Chef Adeneke developed a passion for creating dishes that blend spices and flavors from around the world. Examples of her eclectic creations include Barbecue Chicken Sushi, Curry Chicken Lasagna, and Macaroni and Cheese Egg Rolls.
Chef Adeneke founded West Indian Blend Catering several years ago and has since become a sought-after caterer for both personal and corporate clients in the Baltimore, Maryland metro area.
